Inspired by the Pantheon Dome, this pattern originates from Janet Phillips' 2008 book, Designing Woven Fabrics.
With strong selvedges, a tight sett, and a firm beat, it creates a fabric rich in body yet gentle in the drape of silk.
In the second half of the scarf, the treadling pattern is altered, giving the textured Tussah silk prominence over the shinier Bombyx silk, highlighting its unique qualities and adding a distinct character to the overall design.
